On the cutting edge.
Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service is one of the fastest-growing segments of the “digital” age, which includes Hosted PBX and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services. Broadband voice services continue to rise rapidly in the United States as the service of choice for businesses and the consumer over cable and traditional telecommunications companies.
Our History
SkyFrequency Networks was founded by CEO/President Wade Spooner and Executive Vice President/CMO Ted Parsons. The executive management team has a proven track record of successfully building communications businesses with over 60 years of combined experience in the communications industry. This experience consists of building two communications companies in Jackson, Mississippi, from early stage start-up to successfully selling them both to publicly traded companies.
Spooner and Parsons were pioneers in the competitive long-distance deregulation in the communications industry during the 1990s, providing long-distance telecom services to consumer retail and commercial customers throughout 33 states with a primary focus in Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. The company grew to become the third-largest Mississippi facilities-based Interexchange long-distance service carrier in 1998 and was successfully acquired by a regional publicly traded communications company in November 1998.
Spooner and Parsons founded in 2001 a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) that provided voice, video and data services to consumer retail, commercial and wholesale customers throughout Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. The company grew to become a facilities-based CLEC and, in 2005, merged into the U.S. subsidiary of a public international telecom company. Spooner and Parsons operated and expanded the company’s service area to include the Southeast and Southwestern U.S. through many acquisitions of other communications companies through 2008.
The Future
Spooner and Parsons formed SkyFrequency in 2010 with the mission to grow and expand broadband services by deploying Hosted PBX and VoIP phone services, providing comprehensive IT services, computer repair, WiFi, security monitoring, video surveillance and home entertainment services, all from a single source.
